Most makeup frustration comes down to two things rather than technique: the wrong shade and the wrong formula for your skin type. Undertone is the piece most often missed. Skin reads cool, warm or neutral, and a shade that matches your depth but fights your undertone always looks slightly off. Formula matters just as much: oily skin needs different staying power from dry skin, and mature skin generally does better with lighter, more flexible textures than heavy full-coverage bases.
