Top 3 Home Remedies For Repairing Damaged Hair
If you hate wasting your life savings on expensive hair products, don’t despair: there are plenty of home remedies out there that can help you fix your damaged hair. Home remedies won’t necessarily provide the same rapidly noticeable results that a scientifically-formulated product will, but they can serve as a quick fix. Here are some natural remedies that can save you from bad hair days caused by damaged hair:
Mayonnaise Treatment
Mayonnaise is probably the most well-known of these three treatments. Take about half a cup of mayonnaise out from the refrigerator prior to use – cold mayonnaise won’t work as well as mayonnaise that is at room temperature. Then wet your hair with warm water and wrap with a towel to prepare for conditioning. Massage the mayonnaise into your scalp and through the length of your hair. Wrap your hair with a shower cap or a plastic bag and let it sit for 20 minutes, then rinse your hair.
Treating Your Hair with Egg Whites
Wet you hair with warm water, then wrap it in a towel. Put one egg white and one cup of warm water into a bowl and beat them with a whisk. Massage the mixture through your hair, starting at the scalp and working your way down the length of your hair to the tips. Cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic bag and let sit for approximately half an hour before rinsing.
Eggs, Olive Oil, and Honey Treatment
Mix together 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 egg yolk, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Apply the mixture to your hair from root to tip, and leave in for roughly half an hour. Then rinse out with shampoo.
Keep in mind that homemade treatments like these provide short-term results, but can’t take the place of proven products that offer more permanent results. If you need a solution for a day or two, then try out a home remedy. If you want a solution for life, try a proven hair repair product.
