Aquallure Retinol 2.5% Hydrating Serum Overview

Aquallure Retinol 2.5% Hydrating Serum is a vitamin-based skin savior. Using the power of Retinol, a derivative of Vitamin A, this highly concentrated serum will encourage natural collagen production, diminish the appearance of lines, and increase the rate of cell turnover so the skin is smooth and even.

Despite all of this age-fighting power, this serum is still gentle enough to be incorporated as part of your beauty routine daily.

A Closer Look at Aquallure Retinol 2.5% Hydrating Serum

This serum doesn’t only provide anti-aging benefits, but fully hydrates the skin as well. It features a small, carefully curated selection of ingredients which work in tandem to form the best anti-aging hydration serum available on the market right now.

Retinol has been an industry darling for years, but pairing it with one of the market’s top It ingredients elevates the pair to a sum greater than the total of its parts. Retinol can sometimes irritate sensitive skin as part of sloughing away dead cells to make room for new ones. By adding the intense hydration of Hyaluronic Acid, it keeps skin moist and soft, and stops the powerful Retinol from interacting too harshly and damaging skin. It makes for an excellent pairing, and that is only the base of this serum.

Aquallure Retinol 2.5% Hydrating Serum Ingredients

In addition to a solid foundation of Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid, Aquallure includes a combination of moisturizers and vitamins to provide even more benefit. Jojoba oil is another natural hydrator and lends a prolonged shelf stability. This serum is smooth without being greasy and absorbs readily into the skin.

Retinol is the new “It” ingredient on the skin-care market in recent years. It is derived from vitamin A and is a natural antioxidant. Upon contact with the skin, Retinol breaks down into retinoic acid, which destroys free radicals, enhances collagen production, and encourages rapid skin cell growth. It’s all-natural, which only adds to its popularity, and has been under study since the 70s. Continual study shows more and more benefits with regular use.

Hyaluronic Acid

This substance is found in our skin naturally, but can be manufactured or harvested for topical skin care. The primary function of Hyaluronic Acid in our skin is to hold water, primarily because this incredible humectant can hold up to sixty times its molecular weight in water, making it one of the single best moisturizers on the planet. It is technically an ‘ultra moisturizer’, and helps to keep all of the water we already have in our skin from evaporating as readily. When included alongside ingredients like Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid ensures that the skin will not dry  and instead retain its moisture and a large additional amount, to keep skin plump and youthful.

Jojoba Oil

This natural oil comes from the Simmondsia chinensis shrub, which is native to the southwestern areas of America. Because of the low melting point, jojoba oil is liquid at skin temperature, and can lend a velvety smooth texture to any product containing it. The oil can be harvested and produced organically and responsibly. As an extra bonus, Jojoba oil has a remarkably long shelf life, eliminating the need for artificial preservatives in this product.

Vitamin E

This Vitamin is an antioxidant, which helps fight free radicals that damage skin cells and cause most major signs of aging. It increases the body’s own natural ability to fight the signs of aging as well. And since it is oil-soluble, this vitamin will penetrate deeply along with the other ingredients. Free radicals are responsible for most of the damage done to our skin, so eliminating it before it has the chance to do so it an excellent first step in the process of a healthy skincare routine.

The Final Word on Aquallure Retinol 2.5% Hydrating Serum

This serum is an excellent addition to Aquallure’s lineup of anti-aging serums. The quality is as high as we have come to expect from the brand, yet it maintains an affordable price point too.
