I usually want an eye cream to do two things well before I start paying attention to the bigger promises: keep the area properly moisturized and make my skin look smoother. Anything beyond that, such as helping with puffiness, fine lines, or brightness, is a welcome bonus.
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Anti-Aging Eye Cream caught my attention because it is meant to work across the entire eye area rather than just underneath the eyes. Kiehl’s specifically designed it for four zones: the under-eye, eyelid, outer corner, and brow bone. It also promises to address several concerns at once, including fine lines, puffiness, crepey texture, and loss of firmness.
After using it consistently, I think its strength is exactly that versatility. It did not give me one dramatic overnight transformation, but it made the whole eye area look smoother, fresher, and generally better cared for.
What Is Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye Cream?
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Anti-Aging Eye Cream is a lightweight gel-cream designed to improve visible signs of aging around the eyes.
Instead of focusing solely on under-eye darkness or dryness, it targets several areas at once. Kiehl’s says it can help smooth the eyelids, firm the outer corners, reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, brighten underneath the eyes, de-puff, and improve the look of the brow area. That sounds like a lot for one little jar, which is partly why I went into this review with realistic expectations. I was more interested in seeing whether it could make my eye area look consistently smoother and less tired than expecting it to somehow erase every line.
The formula is also fragrance-free and ophthalmologist-tested. Kiehl’s describes it as suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Texture and Application
Despite being called an anti-aging eye cream, the texture is surprisingly light.
It has more of a soft gel-cream consistency than a thick, buttery eye cream. It spreads easily over the skin and feels silky without becoming oily. I found that I needed very little for both eyes.
Kiehl’s recommends about half a pea-sized amount for all four eye zones, which felt about right to me.
Once I started patting it in, it absorbed fairly quickly. There was enough slip to massage it gently around the eye area, but it did not leave a heavy film afterward.
That was one of the things I liked most about using it in the morning. I could apply it without feeling as though I had a layer of rich cream sitting underneath my eyes for the next hour.
The lack of fragrance was another plus. I do not really need my eye cream to smell like anything, especially when I am putting it this close to my eyes.
How I Used It
I used the cream morning and evening after serum and before my regular moisturizer, which is also where Kiehl’s recommends placing it in a routine.
Instead of concentrating everything underneath my eyes, I spread a small amount across the four areas Kiehl’s highlights.
Underneath the eyes, I used a light tapping motion. Around the outer corners, I smoothed it gently toward my temples. I also used a very small amount over the eyelids and along the brow bone.
I actually liked treating the whole area. Many eye creams end up being under-eye moisturizers in practice, so being able to comfortably use this over the lids made it feel slightly more useful.
The formula stayed where I applied it too. Kiehl’s specifically says the gel-cream is designed to help prevent migration into the eyes, and I did not find it particularly slippery once it had settled.
What’s Inside the Formula?
Kiehl’s keeps the headline ingredient story fairly simple.
Rather than loading the marketing around a huge list of actives, the current formula is mainly promoted around niacinamide and collagen peptide.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and is one of those skincare ingredients I am always happy to see in a formula.
Here, Kiehl’s uses it to help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while supporting a brighter-looking under-eye area.
I think it fits this product particularly well because it addresses several of the concerns people tend to have around the eyes without making the formula feel overly aggressive.
Collagen Peptide
The second key ingredient is what Kiehl’s calls Collagen Peptide, a combination of three amino acids.

I would keep expectations sensible here. Applying a peptide cream is not going to physically lift the eye area in the way a procedure might. I look at it more as part of a formula designed to help the skin look smoother and better supported with consistent use.
How My Eye Area Felt at First
The first noticeable benefit was hydration.
Immediately after applying it, the skin around my eyes felt softer and smoother without feeling overly moisturized. The difference was particularly noticeable on my eyelids, where dryness can sometimes make the texture look more crepey than it really is.
My under-eye area also looked a little fresher once the cream had absorbed. That was not because my dark circles suddenly vanished. The skin itself simply looked smoother and more comfortable.
The Daisi Jo review I used as one of my references had a similar experience with the texture, describing it as quick to absorb and comfortable without greasy or pilling residue.
I think that immediate smoothing effect is one of the reasons this cream is easy to keep using. Even before any longer-term changes become noticeable, the skin feels better.
My Results After Consistent Use
Fine lines took longer to judge.
Hydration can temporarily soften the appearance of little dehydration lines almost immediately, but I wanted to separate that from any longer-term improvement in texture.
With consistent use, I felt that the skin around my eyes looked more even and slightly smoother, particularly around the outer corners. The crepey texture on my lids also looked less noticeable when the area was properly moisturized.
I would not say my crow’s feet disappeared. They did not. They simply looked softer and less obvious when my face was relaxed.
That gradual experience is more believable to me than expecting results after two or three applications.
Kiehl’s bases its own claims on longer testing periods as well. In an eight-week consumer study involving 93 panelists, 94% said their eyelids felt smoother, 90% saw the brow area as more lifted, 89% felt the outer corners appeared firmer, and 80% noticed less under-eye puffiness. Kiehl’s also reports a separate 12-week clinical study, noting that individual results vary.
Did It Help With Puffiness and Dark Circles?
My results here were more subtle.
I did notice that my eyes looked a little more awake after using the cream consistently. Part of that came from smoother skin, and part came from the fact that the under-eye area did not look as dry.
Mild morning puffiness also seemed less noticeable once I had gently tapped the cream around my eyes.
I would not call it a dramatic de-puffing treatment, though.
The same goes for dark circles. My under-eye area looked slightly brighter and fresher, but I would not expect this cream to completely erase hereditary pigmentation, visible blood vessels, or shadows caused by facial structure. There are several different causes of dark circles, which is one reason results from eye creams can vary so much.
That distinction is important with almost every eye product. A cream can improve the appearance of the skin without changing the anatomy underneath it.
Kiehl’s does include brightness and reduced puffiness among its tested benefits, but its own results are based on improvement rather than complete correction.
How It Works Under Makeup
This is probably one of the easiest things to like about the formula.
Because the cream is lightweight and absorbs quickly, I found it much easier to use underneath concealer than a very rich eye cream.
I gave it a few minutes to settle before applying makeup. Once it had absorbed, my concealer went on smoothly and did not immediately cling to dry-looking patches.
I also did not get noticeable pilling.
The hydration helped the under-eye area look less creased, although no eye cream is going to completely stop concealer from settling into natural lines over the course of the day.
Kiehl’s specifically designed the formula to work under makeup, and customer feedback at Ulta also includes users who say concealer sits particularly well over it.
What I Didn’t Love
My main hesitation is sensitivity.
I personally found the formula comfortable, but that clearly is not universal. Kiehl’s markets the cream as suitable for sensitive skin, yet some customer reviews describe burning, dryness, itching, redness, or increased sensitivity.
Ulta currently shows a 4.3-star average across more than 1,000 reviews, with 87% of reviewers saying they would recommend it, so negative reactions appear to be the minority rather than the typical experience. Still, the eye area is delicate enough that I think patch testing makes sense.
I am also not completely sold on the jar.
It is easy enough to use, but I generally prefer pumps for eye products. More importantly, some recent Kiehl’s customer reviews have complained about the product drying out or apparently losing volume while stored in the jar.
That would annoy me considering how little product you get in an eye cream.
Who Is It Best For?
I think Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye Cream makes the most sense if you are dealing with several mild eye-area concerns at once.
If your eyelids are starting to look slightly crepey, you have fine lines around the outer corners, your under-eyes sometimes look puffy, and you want something that also provides everyday hydration, this covers a lot of ground without requiring several products. Who Might Want Something Else?
If dryness is your only real concern, you probably do not need such a multi-purpose formula.
A simpler moisturizing eye cream may be enough, especially if you prefer something richer and more cushioning at night.
I would also be cautious if your eye area reacts easily to skincare products. Despite being fragrance-free and marketed for sensitive skin, the customer feedback makes it clear that irritation is still possible.
And if your main concern is very dark genetic circles or prominent under-eye bags, I would manage expectations. This cream may make the surrounding skin look better, but it cannot correct every cause of those concerns.
Is Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye Cream Worth It?
For me, the “multi-corrective” part of the name actually makes sense.
It moisturizes well. It makes the skin feel smoother. My eye area looked fresher with consistent use, and I liked being able to use the same formula around my lids, outer corners, under-eyes, and brow bone.
The lightweight texture also makes it more practical than many anti-aging eye creams because I can use it both morning and night without worrying about heaviness.
Where I would keep expectations realistic is around dramatic lifting, deep wrinkles, pronounced dark circles, and significant eye bags. I saw this as a gradual skin-quality product rather than something that dramatically changes the structure of the eye area.
Final Verdict
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Anti-Aging Eye Cream ended up being a very easy product for me to use consistently.
The lightweight gel-cream texture absorbs quickly, sits nicely underneath makeup, and gives the eye area enough hydration to look smoother without feeling greasy. I also liked being able to apply it over the eyelids instead of limiting it to the under-eye area.
With continued use, I noticed the biggest difference in overall smoothness, hydration, and the appearance of fine lines and crepey texture. Puffiness and brightness improved more subtly.
I would recommend it most to someone who wants one eye cream that addresses several early signs of aging rather than a product designed around one very specific concern.
It will not erase every wrinkle or completely get rid of dark circles, but as an all-round eye cream that keeps the entire area looking smoother, fresher, and well moisturized, I think Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye Cream does a very good job.
